Educare Private School was founded by Mrs. Alicia Smith Temlong on 29 January 1990. Originally from St Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands, she holds a Master’s in Education from Tuskegee University in Alabama. Her motivation was to help children become educated, cared for and productive members of society.
The school began with three classes: one kindergarten class, Nursery One and Primary One. Its first community included 13 pupils and five staff members. Educare has since grown from those beginnings to serve learners from crèche through Primary Six, and its graduates are now spread around the world.
Educare is located along Yakubu Gowon Way, Miango Junction, by Flower Garden, Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State. The school is a member of the Plateau State Private School Association and maintains a corresponding partnership with several schools in the North-Eastern United States.
Educare Schools was established to build a disciplined academic institution grounded in strong moral values. From its beginnings, the school has grown into a multi-campus community serving learners across Jos.

The people behind the work
Administration
Educare Private School’s management team includes the Head of Personnel, Administrator, Accountants and Head Supervisor. Together, they support continuity, effectiveness and the day-to-day work of the school.
